What you found is an Amanita not an Agaricus, and an Amanita within section Lepidella, distinctive due to the dripping bits of universal veil at the cap's edge. I have never seen its like!<br /><br />I encourage you to post your photo series on Mushroomobserver.org. I can promise you that within a very short time your photos will get a bite from one of the top amanitologists in the world: Rod Tulloss.
